Internships at Jost Chemical
At Jost Chemical, we believe that investing in the next generation of professionals is an investment in the future of our industry. Our internship program gives students the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to real-world projects while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative, innovative environment.
Interns at Jost Chemical are more than observers—they’re contributors. From engineering and chemistry to information technology and cross-functional operations, our interns take on meaningful work that helps them build technical skills, strengthen their confidence, and gain valuable insight into careers in the chemical manufacturing industry.
One of the most rewarding aspects of our internship program is seeing how each intern’s experience is shaped by the people they work with, the challenges they tackle, and the knowledge they gain along the way.
Here’s what some of our 2026 interns had to say about their experience at Jost Chemical:
John Carney – R&D
“The best part of my internship has been learning more about industrial chemistry work. I have learned that there is a lot more to industrial chemistry than what meets the eye. The behind-the-scenes work to develop processes involves a team working together in order to produce quality products.”
Keegan Cantwell – Project Engineering
“I am most grateful for the mentorship and learning opportunities I received from across the team. Everyone at Jost was always willing to answer questions, explain the ‘why’ behind their decisions, and weigh in on projects that I was working on. Having access to a wealth of process and engineering knowledge from experienced professionals has made a huge difference in my confidence as a young engineer and my technical perspective.”
Mayrol Juarez-Chiovatero – R&D/QC lab
“The best part of my internship has been getting to work with individuals from different departments. I have been able to learn a lot through this internship mainly because of the different people I am able to encounter on a weekly basis.”
Rita Samad – QC lab
“One word I would use to describe this experience is enriching. I am grateful for all that I have learned from this opportunity, which has given me insight into the chemical industry. I have also enjoyed building my problem-solving skills and working with a supportive and helpful team.”
JJ Williams – IT
“The opportunity I am most grateful for has been getting hands-on experience with so many different tools and systems—patching computers, scanning for security issues, managing backups, and working with virtual machines. I’ve learned far more by doing than I ever could in a classroom.”
Lena Nguyen – Purchasing
“This internship changed the way I look at engineering. I find myself thinking more analytically about expenses outside of work and viewing careers beyond engineering differently as well. This experience may even influence where I want to go in my education because I’ve discovered other areas that I enjoy, too.”
Kyle Sutter – Training
“The best part of my internship has been learning something new every day. This internship has taught me that communication is an essential part of being on a strong team. I never expected to learn so much in only a few months.”
Kyle Truong – Sales & Marketing
These experiences reflect what makes the Jost Chemical internship program unique: meaningful work, mentorship from experienced professionals, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
We are proud of the contributions our interns make each year and grateful for the enthusiasm, curiosity, and fresh perspectives they bring to our teams. As they continue their educational and professional journeys, we look forward to seeing the impact they will make in the future.
To all of our interns—thank you for your hard work, dedication, and commitment.
